Bel Japon New Office – A Renovation full of Purpose

The pandemic has forced many businesses to navigate crisis conditions in new and unprecedented ways; this is and remains true as we speak in Japan.
Like most companies, Bel Japon has tested in past months new ways of working, entrusted his middle-management, adopted more radical approaches to decision making while privileging speed, empowerment, delegation and above anything trust.
While the situation normalized step by step, it was key for my leadership team to nourish and cultivate the benefits of those new ways of working to build a resilient and purposeful organization.

Everything starts by our people at Bel

Our office renovation project has been built with the following intents and directions

  • A safe place to work and connect
  • Work-Life integration
  • More inclusive workplace
  • Digitally savvy and connected to the world

We invite you for a virtual tour of our new office that resonates as the beginning of a new journey, consolidates our ambition for Japan as a strategic market for Bel and echoes our cherished:
“For All, For Good” company motto.

The overall design concept is “Simple & Fresh”. It provides a natural yet sophisticated environment for our employees and reflects our company’s dedication to delivering fresh & natural products to consumers.
A touch of Japanese taste has been added, with the traditional Japanese style ceiling and real wood made shelves.
The new reception system has been upgraded with facial recognition and automatic temperature measurement system.

Corridor

The green area enhances the natural and refreshing mood of the office. This small garden area has been inspired from Japanese garden using moss and stones.
Usage of tall plants, on top of being refreshing & visually soothing, adds privacy for everyone to better focus on work.
The bench space has been created as a versatile are for employees to relax, chat with their colleagues, or simply working in a different environment.

Cafeteria

The cafeteria has been built on what used to be our General Manager office. It is providing to all a functional, yet relaxing and warm space to communicate and rest.
The bright yellow area and “Golden Bells” light contrasting with the grayish overall tone gives a positive and modern accent to the area.
The material on pedestal and pillar is made from 60% recycle material consists of coal ash, used paper pulp, coffee grounds etc, which links our respect for the nature and responsibility for the environment.

The sofas and chairs, in line with the overall office design, are inviting our employees to sit & relax in a natural environment.

Working space

Each meeting room has been named after one of our iconic brands, and is equipped with wireless screens.
With the view of reflecting our attachment to transparency, adding more flexibility in a post covid world, and enhancing cross functional communication and collaboration, the working area has turned into a full open space.
